Language Learning France: A History of Immersion

Halfway through the program there is a homestay. Each student stays with their own host family for a week. This is where you’ll really put your French to the test! Before going into the homestay we have an orientation about what to expect and how to handle different situations, and we review some useful vocabulary. Many of the things you’ll want to talk about with your host family are things that we’ve covered already on the program: Your own family and life at home, your interests, things you’ve done so far during your trip. The crutch words that we learned for the internships in Brittany really come in handy during the homestay!
