Mike Oster
Before joining the Putney team full-time, Mike worked as a marine science instructor and U.S. Coast Guard-licensed boat captain in California, Hawai’i, and Washington. Since 2007, he has led a total of ten student travel groups, including a Putney service program in the Caribbean, and National Geographic student programs to Belize, Monterey Bay, Bali, and Australia. Mike oversees leader hiring, organizes programs in Baja, and manages Putney’s collaboration with The Smithsonian Institution. In his free time, you can find him hiking, camping, fishing, stacking wood, and serving on the board of the local Windmill Hill Pinnacle Association land conservancy.
