Abby is a graduate of Middlebury College with a B.A. in Chinese Language and Literature. While at Middlebury, she studied abroad with CET in Beijing and at the C.V. Starr Middlebury School in Hangzhou. In addition to studying Chinese language, literature, and film in Hangzhou, she did an independent project studying the one-child policy and the Chinese healthcare system. She traveled throughout China during her time abroad, and from the grasslands of Inner Mongolia to the delicious Beijing street food to the fabled Yellow Mountains, was always finding new things to love about China. In her free time, Abby enjoys doing yoga, which she finds much easier than the kung fu she tried to learn in China. She also likes hiking, swimming, and being outside. She is a certified EMT-B and has worked on a rescue squad for the past two years. Abby is fluent in Mandarin. She has led Excel China.
