  • Education: St. Lawrence University, B.A., Global Studies.

Alli is a proud native Vermonter, whose strong passion for community service work was born out of the wake of the Hurricane Katrina disaster.  Since that time, she has spent the majority of her high school and college spring breaks assisting in community reconstruction efforts. As a Global Studies major at St. Lawrence University Alli’s interest in U.S. foreign aid to Africa brought her to East Africa in the spring of her junior year where she volunteered for Soft Power Education in Jinja, Uganda and lived along the shore of the White Nile. During her six months abroad, Alli’s fascination with the night sky led her to receive a travel enrichment grant to conduct a cross-cultural analysis of Northern New York and East African skies and stargazing traditions. Alli loves travel and outdoor adventure, and has backpacked through Peru, hiked in the Adirondacks, and explored Georgia’s Cumberland Island. She is also the founder of St. Lawrence’s Women’s Lacrosse Club, and ran her first half-marathon this past fall. Alli is proficient in KiSwahili and Spanish. Alli has led Community Service Tanzania.
