  • Education: University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, B.A., French with Teaching Certification, minor in Spanish.

Brought up in a bilingual (Italian and English) household, Allyson has always had a passion for culture, travel, and languages. She studied abroad in Barcelona and Paris. In Paris, Allyson attended l’Université de la Sorbonne – Paris IV, l’Institut Catholique, focusing her studies on French literature. She immersed herself in French cultural traditions while living with a French family in the 14th Arrondissement on the bank of the Seine. While in France, she traveled extensively throughout the country, as well as to Eastern Europe and to Italy. Upon returning to Illinois, Allyson spent a semester student teaching French at Adlai E. Stevenson High School, one of the top ranked high schools in Illinois. During her free time she enjoys reading, playing golf and tennis, and working out.  Allyson is fluent in French, Spanish, and Italian.  She led Language Learning France and Community Service Costa Rica.
