  • Education: Harvard University, B.A., Comparative Literature; University of Chicago, M.A., Humanities, with a focus on advertising.

During his time at Harvard, Andrea – or just Andy – studied German Romanticism, bringing its theories to bear on the manifestoes and artworks of Italian Futurism.  He also studied Italian, in an effort to perfect the language that he speaks at home with his Sicilian mother.  Outside of class, Andy spent most of his free time mentoring inner-city youth in Boston, leading them on trips to museums, but also to amusement parks.  He worked for several years after college as a researcher for Ernst & Young, where he collected and analyzed information on financial services companies to support the firm’s business pursuits.  Recently, Andy went back to school, this time to the University of Chicago, where he treated advertising as art, and studied it accordingly.  His parents emigrated to the United States from Sicily, and he is proud to be one-hundred percent Italian.  He travels to Italy frequently to see his many relatives, all of whom reside there.  Andy is fluent in Italian and has a working knowledge of Spanish.  He has led Cultural Exploration Switzerland, Italy, France, and Holland.
