Upon completing his undergraduate studies, Ari moved to New Orleans where he taught the fifth grade with Teach For America.  Upon completing his two year commitment to Teach For America, Ari obtained a master’s degree and taught for several school programs that served low-income minority youth. In 2008, Ari started working for The Pangaea Project, a non-profit organization that offers international leadership development programs focused on social issues for low-income teenagers and young adults. In his time with Pangaea he worked as a program manager on program development and led trips to Ecuador and Thailand. In 2010 Ari began leading semester trips with Carpe Diem Education.  He has led trips to Central and South America and is assisting Carpe Diem in their curriculum development to increase awareness of social justice issues while traveling abroad. Ari’s interests include photography, soccer, yoga, rock climbing, and painting.  He is certified in Wilderness First Aid and Advanced Water SCUBA. Ari is fluent in Spanish and is studying Korean. He has led Community Service Nusa Penida.
