- Education: St. Lawrence University, B.A.
While studying at St. Lawrence, Bob took an interdisciplinary approach focusing on anthropology and environmental studies. Led by his intellectual pursuits and drive to explore, Bob went abroad to Kenya in the fall of 2009. During this time he worked with the Kibera Girls Soccer Academy in the Nairobi’s Kibera slum to help bring awareness and funding to their cause. He has also spent a month in the city of Jinja, Uganda researching the interplay between culture, tourism, development, and the environment. That winter, he was part of a team funded to travel to Kigali, Rwanda for a comparative study of post-genocide politics in Nairobi, Kampala, and Kigali – three major East African cities with very different histories. He is proficient in KiSwahili. Bob spends most of his time outside, and plans to continue exploring, paddling, and doing the things that make him smile. Bob has led Community Service Tanzania.
