Bridget’s first trip to Spain, as a junior in college, awoke passions that would guide her towards countless adventures in the years to come. After graduation, Bridget spent three years living in Spain, teaching English and organizing summer immersion programs. She has also taught Spanish at Saint John’s Preparatory School in Minnesota, the Fountain Valley School of Colorado, Kimball Union Academy in New Hampshire, and at the Vail Mountain School in Colorado. In her work as an educator, Bridget has worn many hats, including the roles of Spanish teacher, residence hall director, academic advisor, study abroad leader, and coach of soccer, basketball, track, and rock climbing teams. Her mountaineering pursuits have taken her to places such as the Cordillera Blanca of Peru, the European Alps, the Colorado Rockies, Mount Rainier, the Pyrenees and Picos de Europa in Spain, and the Patagonian Ice Cap and Cerro Aconcagua in Argentina. In addition to her alpine endeavors, she has spent time volunteering in Chile and Bolivia. As a resident of Vail, Bridget enjoys skiing, mountain biking, rock and ice climbing, hiking, and anything else that gives her an excuse to be outdoors. In the past two years, she has taken her class on Spanish immersion trips to Guatemala and Costa Rica. Bridget is fluent in Spanish and is a certified Wilderness First Responder. She has led Community Service Peru and Language Learning Spain.
