Julia has always loved getting off the beaten path and has traveled extensively through Europe. During her time at Boston University, she spent a semester living and studying in Paris. She lived with a French host family, took classes, and interned on a péniche (boat on the Seine) that hosted private events called La Balle au Bond. Julia has also lived and worked in New Zealand where she led weekend getaway trips for GOOT! (Get Out Of Town!) going to off-the-map places and exploring hidden beaches and waterfalls. In the summer of 2008, Julia rode her bike from Boston, Massachusettes to Santa Barbara, California with Bike & Build after raising over $6,000 to be donated to affordable housing groups. Needless to say, Julia loves cycling. She also loves capoeira and cultural exploration. She has led Cultural Exploration Switzerland, Italy, France, and Holland and Language Learning France. Julia is fluent in French.
