Kathleen is obsessed with languages. She studied Spanish for seven years before starting to study Chinese during her freshman year at Middlebury College. She loved it so much that she ended up choosing Chinese as her major. Kathleen studied abroad in Kunming, China during the spring of her junior year at Middlebury. While there, she spent her spring break doing community service in a rural Miao minority village in Guizhou Province. Kathleen enjoys running, photography, and music of all kinds. In addition to Mandarin Chinese, she speaks proficient Spanish and basic Arabic. She has led Excel China.
