  • Education: Dartmouth College, B.A., Geography, specialized in International Development.

Lily first caught the travel bug when she had the opportunity, at age 16, to intern in Kenya with outreach healthcare organizations.  Since then, she has spent a summer working in rural Peru with the VivePeru Foundation, traveled to Mexico for three months of intensive language study, and lived for a semester in Ecuador where she worked with the Yanapuma Foundation mapping an indigenous jungle community to prevent encroachment and provide a tool for sustainable land use management. Back at Dartmouth, Lily spent her weekends teaching English to Vermont migrant farm workers and was an advisor for Dartmouth students interested in interning abroad.  During her senior year, Lily became the Educational Officer for Dartmouth’s service program to Nicaragua, preparing seminars on topics of sustainability and cross cultural competency.  Lily has worked for years as a sexual health advocate and educator and has mentored HIV+ teens as well as planned campus-wide STD prevention campaigns at Dartmouth. Lily is currently completing a Community Service Fellowship in the Office of Community Health at the Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. She plans to become a Nurse Practitioner with dual degrees in Health Communications and/or Urban Planning. Lily grew up in Vermont and loves hiking, dance, Spanish, and anything to do with cheese and good music.  She has led Community Service Costa Rica.
