- Education: Dartmouth College, B.A., Creative Writing, School for International Training, Graduate Certificate, Conflict Transformation Across Cultures, Princeton Seminary, Master of Divinity (candidate).
In college, Sarah studied at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, lived and worked at an orphanage in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, led orientation trips for the Dartmouth Outing Club, and managed the Dartmouth Organic Farm during her senior year. Upon graduation, she worked as a campus minister at Dartmouth, then as an environmental educator at the Hulbert Outdoor Center in Fairlee, Vermont. Sarah moved to Rwanda in 2007 to work with Partners In Health (PIH)/Inshuti Mu Buzima, where she helped to coordinate pediatric programs and develop an agricultural training center and outreach program to address systemic malnutrition. While in Rwanda, Sarah also studied psychosocial approaches to peace-building through the School for International Training. She is currently completing a Masters of Divinity at Princeton Seminary, with an emphasis on the intersection of religion and mental health. Sarah has traveled throughout East Africa, India, Latin America, and Europe. She loves to backpack and bird watch, and is a certified Kripalu yoga instructor. Sarah has led Global Awareness in Action Rwanda.
