In college, Shannon’s art courses took her to Tuscany, Paris, and Taos, New Mexico where drawing always provided visual records of her journeys. In graduate school at the University of Notre Dame she worked at the Snite Museum of Art, where she published a catalog on the art of George Rickey, and now serves as the museum’s Young Alumni Advisor. Her Master’s thesis analyzed photographs taken in Paris during the French-Algerian War. Shannon has taught art classes in several elementary schools, art history to high-school students in Chicago, and English in three primary schools in Verdun, France. She currently lives in Chicago where she works for the Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust. In her spare time she enjoys reading, running, drawing, writing, and cooking. Shannon has spent two summers with Excel Oxford/Tuscany. She is fluent in French.
