  • Education: University of Michigan, B.A., Area Studies and Linguistics, Central European University, M.A., International Relations, European Studies.

During her undergraduate studies, Stephanie spent time as an English teacher at El Centro Ensenanza de Lengua Inglesa in Realico, Argentina where she oversaw the education of 120 students from beginner to advanced levels.  She worked as a student mentor and liaison for AFS Intercultural Programs strengthening communication and group unity and volunteered as a tutor and mentor for PALMA (Proyecto Avance, Latino Mentoring Association) in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Stephanie has lived in Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Senegal, Russia, Uzbekistan, Hungary, Slovakia, and Poland. She is currently living in Kraków, Poland as a Fulbright Scholar Research Grantee at the Jagiellonian University where she is documenting the cultural revival of the Lemko national minority by conducting archival research, interviews, and visits to Lemko towns and villages.  Her final project will be a report and photo-documentary about contemporary Lemko culture. She is passionate about cooking, enjoys learning new languages, and loves to wind up in unexpected places. Stephanie speaks Spanish, Polish, Russian, and French, and is learning German, Italian, and Ukrainian. She has led Community Service Argentina.
