Tavia’s film work includes several personal projects for which she has been involved in writing, directing, filming and editing. She has done editing work for the nationally distributed, award-winning documentary Out of Balance. She is a 2008 Undergraduate Research Conference Award of Excellence winner for a rhetorical criticism of film research project, and a 2007 Undergraduate Research Conference Honorable Mention for a short-form documentary. She is also the 2008 Wilburn Sims Memorial Award recipient; the highest honor awarded by the University of New Hampshire Department of Communication. Her acting resume ranges from Shakespeare (Twelfth Night) to modern theatre (How I Learned to Drive). She has most recently been studying voice for actors at the Berkeley Reparatory School of Theatre. Tavia has spent two summers with Excel at Amherst College.
