Troy recently returned from a year teaching English at a public high school in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. This was his second Andalusian adventure, having spent a semester studying at Universidad de Granada while in college. Troy has worked as a staff writer for La Voz, a Spanish language newspaper in Poughkeepsie, New York, and as a writer and editorial intern for VIVA Travel Guides, a guidebook company located in Quito, Ecuador. He has traveled extensively in Europe and Latin America and has now settled in Vermont to work at the Putney Student Travel barn. Troy has led Language Learning Spain and the community service portion of Foundations Costa Rica. He is fluent in Spanish.
