While at Dickinson College, Andrea took full advantage of her liberal arts education to pursue her interests in languages and education. She spent a year abroad in Toulouse, France, played clarinet and saxophone in various ensembles, and volunteered at local schools. After her undergraduate studies, Andrea worked as an English language teaching assistant in a middle school in Strasbourg, France, where she was able to build deep connections with the local community and further develop her French skills. Following her time in Strasbourg, Andrea spent two years at the Hotchkiss School where she taught French, served as dorm faculty, and coached basketball and tennis. During this time, she also earned her M.S.Ed. from the University of Pennsylvania through the Independent School Teaching Fellowship. Currently, she is a French teacher at Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia, where she works with middle and high school students across a wide range of language levels. Andrea has traveled extensively throughout North America, Europe, and North Africa, and is eager to share her passions for travel, food, music, and culture with students. She is fluent in French and is currently working on learning Spanish.
