While at Western New England University, Baylea attended writing residencies in the Berkshires and Dublin and served as managing editor of Common Ground Review. She has taught writing workshops with GrubStreet and WITS, co-led Putney’s writing program in Greece and Ireland, and currently teaches writing at the University of Houston and the Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. Her work has been published in Oxford American, VQR, HuffPost, Electric Literature, HelloGiggles, BuzzFeed, Ravishly, and more. Additionally, Baylea’s fiction received an honorable mention in Glimmer Train and was selected as a finalist for the New Letters prize. She was also featured on the Writing Class Radio podcast. Baylea lives in Houston with her wife and two cats.
