While at Middlebury, Connie focused her studies on French and Political Science. She spent a semester of her junior year studying abroad in Bordeaux making friends, fixing bikes, and embracing adventures. After graduation, Connie moved to Baltimore to teach IB French at Baltimore City College High and has been there ever since. During the past 11 years, she has kept busy. She co-founded SOMOS, a student-activist organization that tackles issues of social injustice in Baltimore, and she completed her master’s degree at Hopkins where she won the 2019 School of Education leadership award. Along the way, she organized and led her own high school travel groups to France because she firmly believes that education goes beyond the classroom. Connie likes to relax by practicing yoga, hanging with friends, and hiking. She is a native Spanish and English speaker and fluent in French. Last year Connie led our language in France program.
