During her undergrad, Elizabeth focused her studies on English and journalism and worked as a reporter and editor of the student newspaper. She got her first taste of international travel while studying abroad in Ireland, and returned to her university to work at the international office to facilitate cultural and language exchanges with international students. Upon graduation, Elizabeth became a journalist at a national publication in Washington D.C. where she reported national news stories and launched an interview series with presidential candidates. Elizabeth then turned her focus to international travel and education, moving to Madrid, Spain to teach English as a foreign language. She recently completed her masters in Spain, where her thesis focused on implementing journalistic practices and media/digital literacy in classrooms. She will begin her fourth year teaching in Madrid in the fall, and will also continue her recent work of producing and managing showcases of local artists. She is proficient in Spanish.
