While at the University of Virginia, Janaezjah focused on Indian cultures and languages. She received the Department of State’s Critical Language Scholarship for a language study abroad program in India.  Janaezjah also worked with the International Rescue Committee for two years in which she helped refugees become self-sufficient in the U.S. Janaezjah now works as an English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher, helping middle and high school students develop English language skills. Janaezjah is fluent in Hindi and proficient in Urdu and American Sign Language. This fall, Janaezjah will be going back to school as the Dean of Multilingual Studies.
