While at New York University, Michelle focused on Environmental Anthropology and spent time studying in Argentina and Australia. After finishing her studies, she began working as a freelance filmmaker focused on environmental topics, including working with turtles along the Eastern Coast of the U.S., investigating the tiger trade on Netflix’s Tiger King, and later moving to Oxford to study a master’s in Biodiversity & Conservation. While at Oxford, Michelle led a sailing expedition around the coast of the UK, where she considered what the future of low-carbon fieldwork could look like. Michelle now works in the film industry, with a focus on communicating about the many solutions we have to our environmental challenges. Michelle is fluent in German and proficient in Spanish. This fall, Michelle will be filming in the High Arctic and continuing work with environmental organizations around London.
