While at the University of Texas at Austin, Nat studied Psychology and received additional certifications in emerging technologies and user experience design. Following her studies, she worked as a psychological researcher on a cross-cultural study funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in Namibia, Africa. After a short career in ethnographic research, she shifted her focus to human-centered design at the world’s largest technology corporations. Her work in design has been awarded the Spark Award for Design and the Red Dot Award. Today, she’s working in the civic technology space in Washington, DC, but also takes on projects as a technology journalist, student travel leader, and unofficial rock climbing guide.
