While at USC, Vanessa focused on painting and graphic design. During her last semester in college, she studied abroad in Cortona, Italy, and was part of several art shows during her time there. Through this trip she was able to travel throughout Europe to cities in France, Spain, and Holland. Since then, she has traveled to Mexico, Cuba, Egypt, Spain, and many other countries. Vanessa now works as an artist and entrepreneur, and started an art program called Artsy Kids in 2016, which focuses on teaching K-12 students how to use art as a form of self-care while also teaching technical skills. Vanessa is fluent in Spanish and has led several programs with Putney, including Service Costa Rica and Ecuador. This fall she is focusing on her next solo show and also working on expanding Artsy Kids nationwide.
