Victoria Shover
While an undergrad, Victoria focused her career at the intersection of education, community service, and Spanish. She led after-school programs to provide ESL support and worked extensively with the college’s study abroad department, organizing orientations for students from Brazil, Venezuela, Chile, and China. After graduation, she was named a Fulbright Scholar-English Teaching Assistant to teach English and Global Development to middle and high school students. During this time, she collaborated with a fellow Fulbright to investigate research-based teaching methods in Finland. Victoria has lived in Spain for a decade, working as an elementary teacher at an American school in Madrid. In her spare time, she volunteers for Intersect Madrid, a nonprofit organization providing educators ABAR (anti-bias, anti-racist) resources and community workshops. She also enjoys drinking too much coffee, hanging out with friends and dogs, and exercising. Victoria is fluent in Spanish and has led our Service program in Costa Rica and Career program in Barcelona.
