Born and raised in Abruzzo, a region in central Italy, Anna moved to the U.S. seventeen years ago. Since 2008, she’s been tutoring Italian, and for the past seven years, she’s been teaching full-time in Maryland public schools. With three years at the middle school level and six at the high school level, she’s deeply engaged in sharing her language and culture with her students. Anna’s interests extend beyond the classroom. She’s a passionate foodie, always eager to explore new culinary experiences and infuse her dishes with fresh, simple ingredients—a skill honed from her upbringing on a farm. Alongside her love for cooking, Anna is an avid traveler, having ventured to Jamaica, Belize, Cayman Island, France, Mexico, Honduras, Ireland, Romania, Austria, Hungary, with more adventures on the horizon. Anna is fluent in Italian and English with proficiency in French and Spanish.
