At Sewanee, Gracie studied English literature and economics. When not in the classroom, she was exploring and adventuring through Tennessee’s mountains, and heavily involved in various school clubs and organizations. She focused especially on creative writing within the English Department and through her economics and business studies she traveled to and conducted research in India. She has spent most of her summers working at an outdoor leadership and community-building summer camp in New Hampshire. When not working up in New Hampshire, Gracie can be found solo traveling and working on farms in some of the most rural corners of the world. Most recently, she worked for the Appalachian Mountain Club. She has spent extensive time in Italy, Portugal, Morocco, India, Greece, and Turkey, and believes that sustainable travel and cultural immersion is the motivator behind a fulfilling life.
