Ed recently relocated to Vermont from Japan, where he spent several years working as a teacher of English. He’s certified in TOEFL and is also fluent in Japanese, having earned the N2 certification for “Business Level” proficiency. Since graduating from Reed with a focus on English Literature and Poetry, he has spent a total of 8 years living and working abroad as an educator in Japan, and has spent 4 years teaching in the United States. Despite all the work as a teacher and instructor, Ed has endless passion for language and the arts and considers himself a perpetual student. Since moving to Vermont, he has joined “the Barn” as full time programmer for Putney Student Travel, designing programs in Japan. His hobbies include playing games, enjoying great coffee, gardening, and everything related to food.
