While at Boston University, Edna discovered her passion for intercultural exploration and honed her language skills, spending her junior year in Madrid, Spain. After completing her doctorate in colonial Latin American literature and teaching for a few years at university, she took a position teaching literature in English at a boarding school in southeast Pennsylvania. Throughout her tenure, she has led academic and service trips to Arizona, Bonaire, China, Cuba, New Orleans, Nicaragua, Vietnam, Turkey and Italy. Beyond teaching, Edna loves hiking, being outdoors, and traveling every chance she gets. Recently she fulfilled a lifelong dream and walked the Camino de Santiago alone. Edna is fluent in English and Spanish.
