While at the Universidad de Lima, Guillermo initially focused on psychology and treated patients, but later decided that a degree in communication sciences was more aligned with his goals. During this time, he visited Vermont over a two-year period and worked as a ski instructor for children. He then worked in various fields, including as a television journalist, in soft skills development organizations, as a teacher at schools and institutes, and managing his own restaurant in the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Cusco, Peru. Then, he traveled with his family to Spain, France, and Portugal, which was a cherished experience. Ultimately, Guillermo discovered his passion for immersive educational travel and has spent the last two years leading programs in South America for over 75 students. He now works at a theater, bringing culture to his city, and part-time as an interpreter. Additionally, he enjoys spending time doing pottery and photography. Guillermo is fluent in English and proficient in Spanish, and is learning German and Quechua. This fall, Guillermo will be returning to school, but this time to take his children to their classes.
