Lauren Thibert
While at the University of Illinois, Lauren focused on Environmental Studies and GIS and spent time in Greece learning about how sustainability and geographical location intertwines. Upon graduating with a double major from UIUC, she moved to Spain to teach English and travel. Lauren has spent nearly five years living in Spain and has spent time in Salamanca, later moving to Madrid. She recently completed her master’s degree in International Education and Bilingualism from Camilo Jose Cela University in Madrid, Spain. She has spent extensive time in Austria as a camp director for an English summer camp for Austrian students. Lauren currently works as an English teacher and tour director in both Madrid and Barcelona. She is fluent in both English and Spanish. This fall, Lauren will continue to teach and build her career in tourism, leading groups of middle and high school American students on educational and athletic tours in Spain.
