Throughout his career and studies, Raúl has worked and studied in a wide variety of places. During his undergraduate studies at the University of Evansville, he spent semesters in Brisbane and Madrid, and after finishing his degree, he volunteered at an orphanage in Honduras for two years. Raúl has led programs in Ecuador, Costa Rica, Peru, Nicaragua, Mexico, Bahamas, Fiji, Curacao, Puerto Rico, Holland, France, and Argentina. He has worked in Utah, Washington, Alaska, and Hawaii, but primarily resides in Colorado where he works as an alpine ski instructor in Vail. He is proud of passing his entry-level snowboard instructor exam and hopes to improve his skills in years to come. In addition to being a snowsports instructor, he is a certified scuba instructor through PADI. Raúl loves listening to podcasts and audiobooks while running and mountain biking. He is currently training to run the 105 mi Tour de Mont Blanc as a multi-day trail run. Raúl is fluent in Spanish, highly conversational in Portuguese, proficient in French, and excited to be learning Italian.
