At University of Georgia, Tess studied religion and photography, with an emphasis in Global Issues. She studied abroad in Verona, Italy, and later returned to live in Verona as an English instructor exploring expat life. Having fallen in love with la dolce vita, she has since returned to Italy many times, including leading a National Geographic student program throughout Tuscany, serving as photography instructor. Tess has spent over a decade producing high impact, creative activations and programs on a global scale, working at companies such as National Geographic Magazine, Instagram, and Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. She is passionate about centering her work at the intersection of storytelling, community, technology, and innovation to improve lives, and specializes in strategic initiatives that drive social impact through creative and visual means. Tess has a deep affinity for travel, cultural exploration, community building, and physical and mental health. She is continually exploring how a strong connection with the natural world fosters our healthiest and happiest lives, with food and tradition often at the heart of it all.
