Alessandro Wedeman
While at Skidmore, Ale focused on regenerative land management, Italian food culture, and food politics. After graduating, he returned to his home in Italy to grow his own vegetables and live La Dolce Vita. He also traveled to Jordan, Spain, and Sicily, receiving his permaculture design certificate, participating in land restoration projects, and gaining practical experience working outdoors. There, he also consulted with farmers for biodiversity protection and ecological resilience to climate change. Alessandro now studies Nature Conservation and Organic Agriculture in the Netherlands, learning to keep wild areas wild and our food delicious and nutritious. Alessandro is fluent in Italian and English and proficient in Portuguese and French. In November, Ale will organize a TEDx event promoting biomimicry in social, financial and natural systems. He has previously led our Career Italy and Siena Academia programs.
