While at The University of Texas at Austin, Natalie received a B.A. in psychology with a focus on design and human-computer interaction. Following her studies, she worked as an ethnographic researcher in Namibia and Vanuatu studying early childhood development with the National Science Foundation and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Since then, she’s worked as a UX designer, journalist, educator, and consultant. Her work has received several patents, many of which have been released under an open license for free public use. Currently, she’s working as a designer researcher to update and support federal healthcare in the United States. She also restores antique stained glass windows and rock climbs, but isn’t quite good enough at either to quit her day job. Natalie has previously led a Putney Service program in Hawaii and Pre-college programs at Colby College.
