Before leading for Putney, Gregorio was easily found on fishing trips in Colombia’s Pacific Coast, trekking to the Lost City, or working on social, hands-on design projects in rural communities in his home country. For over 10 years, he has led expeditions in Central and South America and in 2016 he moved to South East Asia. Laos was his home for seven years, where he managed a community-based tourism and student travel project. Soon after he got involved in elephant conservation and lived among elephants for two years, working toward the ethical care of captive elephants, as well the conservation of those in the wild. Gregorio currently directs our programs in Costa Rica, Ecuador, Iceland, Morocco, and Norway. When he’s not programming or leading trips, you can find him playing football, listening to salsa music, and enjoying the outdoors.
