Nicolas Perez Schrader
Nick grew up between Madrid, Spain, and the United States, which sparked his early interest in languages, cultures, and travel. He later studied at the University at Albany, focusing on international education and spending a semester studying abroad in Valencia, Spain. While there, he took every opportunity to explore Europe, traveling to countries including Portugal, England, France, Italy, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, and Slovakia. After graduating, Nick kept his sense of adventure going by driving across the United States twice, stopping in mountain towns along the way to snowboard and explore new places. He later returned to Albany to complete a Graduate Certificate in International Education Management, combining his passion for travel with his academic and professional interests. Since then, he has continued pursuing international experiences, including living in the small fishing village of Las Galeras in the Dominican Republic, where he volunteered at a hostel. He is currently volunteering in Aibonito, Puerto Rico. Nick is fluent in both Spanish and English and has previously led Putney’s Language Valencia program. He loves helping students step outside their comfort zones, build confidence, and discover the joy of exploring new places and cultures.
