While at George Washington University, Desiree focused on indigenous linguistic preservation. Following graduation, she spent a year in Martinique teaching Spanish and English to middle school students. Her professional journey has also included roles as a paralegal and legal assistant at various law firms. Most recently, Desiree embarked on a solo trip to Japan, immersing herself in the culture and exploring several cities. She is currently preparing for law school admission next fall and hopes to specialize in International Law. Fluent in Spanish, English, and French, Desiree is also proficient in Italian and enjoys watching television programs in Brazilian Portuguese. Having lived in four countries—Spain, Martinique, Australia, and the U.S.—she has traveled to 18 others and plans to add Brazil to that list soon.
