At seventeen, Jacquelyn moved to northern India, where she worked with disabled students, tried to learn Hindi, developed an appreciation for badminton, and even picked up some silversmithing from a master jeweler! As a historian in training, her academic interests combine aspects of her heritage, dedication to environmental issues, and love for translation. Jacquelyn’s work engages with the experiences of Indigenous and Hispanic farmers and nomads in the U.S. Southwest and throughout interconnected regions of the Ibero-American world. She is aware of the transformative potential of travel and is committed to fostering more inclusive, conscientious experiences for this new generation of students. Jacquelyn has previously led Putney’s Pre-College Barcelona, Middle School Service Costa Rica, and Middle School Language Spain programs.
