Originally from just outside of Burlington, VT, Tristan holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies from Westminster University and is completing his master’s in Law and Diplomacy at the Fletcher School at Tufts University, with a focus on international security and global governance. Growing up in Vermont, he competed in alpine ski racing and spent summers guiding whitewater rafting and canoe trips, fostering a lifelong love of the outdoors. He’s also an avid mountain biker and enjoys maple sugaring when back home. After college, Tristan spent nearly four years living and teaching in Latin America and Spain, including as a Fulbright scholar in Madrid. He has worked in the areas of international development and conflict resolution. Tristan has traveled extensively (and ski raced) across the Americas and Europe, and is currently trying to re-learn playing the violin in his free time. He is fluent in Spanish, conversational in Brazilian Portuguese, and has a good understanding of Canadian French.
