Born and raised in Vermont, Devon has spent much of the last 12 years traveling around the world. After getting her degree at Portland State University in International Development with a focus on Latin America, she spent a few years backpacking around Central and South America. Devon eventually moved to Costa Rica full-time, where she received her ESL certification and began teaching English. After two years of swells and sunshine, she moved to the south of Spain, where she lived and taught high school English for two and a half years. Now happily back in her home state, she works for Putney as a program director and on the outreach team. Devon has led programs in Patagonia, Argentina, Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, Iceland, and the Faroe Islands. When she’s not on the move she spends all of her free time outdoors, with family and friends, working farmers’ markets, and enjoying the Green Mountains.
