Emma’s love of language, literature, and food have drawn her to travel since she was young. Though the pandemic stunted her study abroad plans, she seized the opportunity to move to Madrid, Spain, after graduation to teach English as a Second Language at a vocational school. Between teaching responsibilities, Emma has spent her summers leading trips in two different regions of Costa Rica and in Hawai’i. Emma remains based in Madrid, where she directs Putney programs in Italy & Greece, Switzerland, Italy, France & Holland, Spain, and Costa Rica. Emma spends much of her free time training and competing with her volleyball team, trying new restaurants, reading, and solving the New York Times puzzles.
