Gregorio Rojas G
Before joining Putney Student Travel, Gregorio could be found on fishing trips along Colombia’s Pacific Coast, trekking to the Lost City, or leading hands-on design projects in rural communities across his home country. With over a decade of experience guiding expeditions throughout Central and South America, he eventually moved to Southeast Asia, where he spent seven years in Laos managing community-based tourism and student travel programs. His journey then led him to elephant conservation, where he spent two years living among elephants, advocating for the ethical care of captive animals and protecting wild populations.
Gregorio now directs our programs in Costa Rica, Ecuador, Iceland, Morocco, Thailand, and Vietnam, and leads international outreach efforts across Central and South America. When he’s not designing or leading trips, he enjoys playing football, listening to salsa music, and spending time outdoors.
