Jeff was a second-generation co-director of Putney Student Travel with his brother Peter, until they passed the reins to current third-generation co-directors two years ago. Jeff first traveled on his own to Guatemala when he was nine years old to spend the summer on a coffee plantation. Travel has been the primary focus of his life ever since. He has worked in France and Spain, ridden a horse across the Pantanál in Brazil, and cycled almost everywhere. As a director of Putney Student Travel for 40 years, Jeff led numerous educational programs for young people, designed programs worldwide, and sent his own children on Putney programs to Vietnam, Costa Rica, Italy, and Greece. Jeff speaks French and Spanish. He continues to support and advise the Putney team, sharing his40 years of passion and knowledge that make Putney programs so exceptional.
