John Linsley
John’s love of travel is rooted in his high school experience as an exchange student in Germany and his undergraduate semester abroad in Kenya. His work background spans the fields of high school teaching, college study abroad, adventure travel, and health and safety. Since 2005, John has led Putney programs in the Indian Himalaya, Tanzania, and to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro. He currently organizes programs in Nepal and Namibia. John speaks Swahili, the regional language of East Africa, and has studied Swahili in the Fulbright-Hays Group Projects Abroad program. An avid trail runner, cyclist, and skier, his passion for adventure and conservation finds him serving on the board of his local trail association. John is also an EMT and Wilderness First Responder.
