Mike oversees all Putney programs, leader hiring, and program management, and also coordinates programs in Baja. Before joining the Putney team full-time, Mike worked as a marine science instructor and U.S. Coast Guard-licensed boat captain in California, Hawai’i, and Washington. Since 2007, he has led eleven student travel groups with the organization, including  Putney programs in the Caribbean and Hawai’i, and National Geographic student programs to Belize, Monterey Bay, Bali, and Australia. In his free time, you can find him hiking, camping, fishing, golfing, stacking wood, and serving on the board of the local Windmill Hill Pinnacle Association land conservancy.
