Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion
Our Commitment
We acknowledge that our organization has benefited and continues to benefit from centuries of privilege as it relates to power, race, class, citizenship, gender, and mobility.
We strive to being anti-racist and taking measurable steps to increase diversity within our organization, in order to bring greater and more meaningful opportunities for connection, learning, and growth.
We commit to the following actions:
- Designing new opportunities and enhancing existing programming to incorporate or build upon existing anti-racist curriculum and perspectives.
- Increasing our recruitment efforts at geographically, racially, and socioeconomically diverse schools.
- Strengthening existing partnerships with external, BIPOC-identifying facilitators.
- Expanding collaborations with youth development organizations focused on diversity, equity, allyship, and inclusion.
- Increasing scholarship access, funding, and partnerships.
- Better supporting staff and students of all gender identities and expression, religions, and abilities.
