Alejandra Ibarrola
Originally from Mexico City, Alejandra is a passionate traveler and naturalist who believes that exploring the world shapes character, broadens perspectives, and helps us understand our place in both society and nature. With a background in tourism and extensive experience guiding in diverse environments, she is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections between young travelers and the places they visit. Alejandra has lived and worked as a scuba, kayak, hiking, and camping guide across five continents, spending time in countries such as Greece, Egypt, Thailand, and New Zealand—destinations she holds close to her heart. Fluent in Spanish and English and proficient in Italian and French, she brings deep cultural and historical insights to every student travel experience, making each destination come alive. Her journey into outdoor education was driven by a strong belief that early exposure to different cultures and environments is key to developing empathy, adaptability, and a deeper appreciation for the world. By guiding students through new landscapes—whether exploring ancient ruins, hiking coastal trails, or engaging with local communities—she aims to inspire a lifelong curiosity and a sense of responsibility for the natural world. When not leading expeditions, Alejandra enjoys painting, writing, music, yoga, and learning new languages—always seeking new ways to connect with people and the planet.
