While at Universidad Carlos III, Alvaro focused on business studies and spent an exchange year at Concordia University in Montreal, expanding his global perspective. After completing his studies, he moved to the Alpine mountains of Innsbruck, where he combined his love for sports and education, working as a snowboard instructor. While pursuing his master’s degree in Strategic Management and Innovation at Innsbruck, Alvaro became actively involved in event management. He worked on the start-up-driven Skinnovation, helped coordinate the IFSC Climbing World Cup, and contributed to the Austria National Championships and Crankworx, one of the biggest mountain biking events. His experience also extends to academia, working on the administrative team for Putney Pre-College in Barcelona and supporting Oxford Academia’s programs. A naturally curious mind with a strong interest in storytelling, Alvaro thrives on exploring ideas, people, and experiences. A dedicated traveler, he has explored Europe, America, and Southeast Asia—experiences that inspire his work as a freelance filmmaker and strategic consultant. He runs a documentary platform focused on travel experiences and maintains tight bonds with the audiovisual world, actively collaborating with projects and podcasters covering topics related to mind-health, adventure, and sports, blending storytelling with strategy to craft compelling narratives. This fall, Alvaro plans to continue developing his documentary projects, working closely with podcasters and journalists, merging his business acumen with his passion for storytelling.
